Inversion
From Awe
Inversion is a figure of speech involving the order of words. It usually means changing the order so that the words are used in the opposite order from that expected in ordinary, everyday English, although it is sometimes used for any deliberate alteration, for effect, in the ‘natural’ or expected word order. "Said he" is an inversion of the more usual "he said". The term can be said to be inverted.
