Talk:To - too - two
From Awe
Great, Lynn - but improveable... So I've improved it. I am deeply impressed with the redirects - well done!
The following are things I haven't discussed with you yet:
Note use of 3 apostrophes to mean 'bold' (and 'switch off bold'), e.g. bold. The equivalent for italic is 2 apostrophes. To get bold and italic requires 5 apostrophes (e.g. bold and italic). (4 gives you bold and a single speech mark, like 'this').
I have also started using and [YOU WILL HAVE TO READ THIS IN EDIT MODE, NOT JUST AS AN ARTICLE] to emphasize differences in homophones and typos. (See the examples in your to/too/two article.) I also want to use rather better the and [THIS TOO] routine to indicate errors. (It's a shame that I can't use it in the names of articles - at least, so far I have failed.)
Final point for today: try to give every article one or more category. This requires you to insert as the last line of the page (at least, that is how I do it) the instruction [READ THIS IN EDIT MODE TOO] (I'll have to tidy up the All Categories (or Wanted categories) list sooner or later after this; I don't yet know how to keep the codes visible but inactive.
Many thanks; and welcome to this wiki! PeterWilson 16:59, 16 November 2006 (GMT)
